OFFICIAL: Tchouameni signs for Real Madrid

It's official, French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is a new Real Madrid player. Despite the interest of other big teams like Liverpool or PSG, the player's wish was to wear the white jersey and play at the Santiago Bernabeu. The midfielder signed until 2028 and Monaco will reportedly receive €80 million plus 20 million in bonuses. A great deal and a great investment by Florentino Perez in the young French player. The player's desire has made it possible to close the transfer after putting pressure on his club. The deal was announced on Saturday at 13:35 CEST.
"Real Madrid C.F. and AS Monaco have agreed the signing of player Aurelien Tchouameni, who will be under contract at the club for the next six seasons," Real Madrid's statement begins. "Aurelien Tchouameni's official presentation as a Real Madrid player will take place on Tuesday 14th June at 12:00h (CEST) after his medical. Then, Aurelien Tchouameni will appear in front of the media," the club conclude.
The recent Champions League winners now have in their squad a player they have been wanting for a long time. He is a defensive midfielder who will take Casemiro's place and will be part of Real Madrid's big bet on young players for the next few years. He will partner Camavinga and Valverde in Madrid's future midfield and will gradually take over from three legends: Casemiro, Kroos and Modric.
Tchouameni started out in the youth ranks at Girondins Bordeaux where he caught the attention of Monaco, who reached an agreement in the 2020 winter transfer window to sign the player. Since then, the Frenchman has enjoyed two and a half seasons and it has been enough for him to stand out and be one of the most promising players at the moment. This 2021-2022 season has meant a great leap in quality for him in the elite and the big European teams have wanted to sign him.
Aurelien has played a total of 95 games for Monaco and 37 for Bordeaux. His career is quite short, but it has not prevented him from earning a place in the French national team. He has played for U17, U19 and U20 and is currently part of Didier Deschamps' starting XI ahead of players like Pogba and Kante. He has been called up 11 times and played 10 games for 'Les Bleus' and will surely be able to enjoy his first World Cup in Qatar 2022.
Reasons enough for Real Madrid to take notice of him and decide to add him to their squad. At 22 years of age, he has shown maturity and is a quick, strong player with a good physique. The club will make the official presentation on Tuesday and the Frenchman will be able to show off the white shirt.
