Official: Samuel Lino completes Flamengo switch

The official announcement arrived in the early hours of Wednesday: Samuel Lino is now a Flamengo player. If all goes to plan, he will remain with the club until December 2029, as stipulated in his new contract.
Mirroring Saul's move days prior, the versatile left-sided midfielder will now be managed by another former Atletico player, Filipe Luis. According to 'Flamengo', the deal is worth €22 million. This represents a €15 million profit for the Spanish club, marking a significant capital gain.
Another positive aspect for Atletico is the freeing up of a non-EU spot, as they already have Tiago Almada, Nahuel Molina, and Connor Gallagher in their ranks.
At 25, Samuel Lino departs after two seasons with Atletico marked by highs and lows. In his first season, he showcased his full potential with 8 goals and 8 assists in 26 appearances, earning him the club's player of the season award. However, in the recently concluded campaign, he mirrored the inconsistent and lacklustre form of Diego Simeone's side.
