OFFICIAL: Samu Chukwueze joins AC Milan on a five-year contract

After the best season of his career and at just 24 years of age, Samu Chukwueze leaves Villarreal and joins Milan in a 20 million euro deal.
Fabrizio Romano revealed the figure paid by the San Siro offices to the La Ceramica side. It is less than his market value because he had only one season left on his contract with Quique Setien's side and there was a possibility that he could leave for free in 12 months' time.
The right winger has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A side, which will be the first experience of his career outside La Liga. He was trained as a 'Groguet', in whose youth academy he developed until he made it to the first team, where he has become a regular, especially in the 22/23 season. With 50 appearances, 39 of them as a starter, 13 goals and 11 assists, he gave plenty of reasons for the 'Rossoneri' scouts to recommend his signing.
"Milan are proud to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal. The Nigerian attacker has signed with the 'Rossoneri' until 30th June 2028. Born in Umuahia on 22 May 1999, he came through the Diamond Football Academy Youth Sector before moving to Villarreal in 2017," reads the official statement from the Italians, who also indicated that he will wear the number 21 shirt.
