OFFICIAL: Sam Clucas joins 'Potters'

The English midfielder moves to the bet365 Stadium on a four-year deal worth around £6m and becomes Stoke's seventh addition this summer. 

Clucas had an impressive season last year for Swansea, who, like Stoke, were relegated. The 27-year-old was also subject to interest from Burnley but reportedly failed a medical with Sean Dyche's side. 

Speaking to Stoke City's official website, manager Gary Rowett praised Clucas, saying “I think this is a great deal for us as a Football Club, especially when you take into account the sum of money he moved for just a year ago. 

“Sam boasts real Premier League quality, and the versatility that he offers will be hugely important to us.

“Most importantly for me though, he has a great character, he is incredibly mobile and he is exceptionally good technically - he gives us a lot of different options and we are delighted to welcome him to the Club.”
