OFFICIAL: Real Madrid renew Carvajal until 2026

Real Madrid extended Dani Carvajal's contract for another season, until 30 June 2026, on the same day that his knee injury, which he suffered against Villarreal on Saturday, was confirmed. A contract renewal that had been in the works for months and was already on the cards, as the club reflected.

"Real Madrid communicate that, as planned, they have agreed with Dani Carvajal the extension of the contract of our player, who remains linked to the club until 30 June 2026," the club wrote on their website. 

Similarly, the club have shown him "all their support and affection" in this letter. "We wish him a speedy recovery so that, as soon as possible, we can enjoy his football on the pitch again," they added.

Despite the tough injury, which could keep him out of action for a year, the defender is clear that his goal is to come back even stronger.
