OFFICIAL: Pierre Kalulu joins AC Milan

Pierre Kalulu is now a Milan player. The 'Rossoneri' confirmed this Wednesday the signing of the 20 year-old defender from Lyon. 

The footballer is one of the young stars in French football, he can play both as a central defender and a right back and he joins for free after turning down his first professional contract with Lyon. He signs until 2025. 

His first comments, to AC Milan's official channels, were of gratitude and "happiness" at joining Milan. He is Milan's first signing. 

"I was very happy knowing that a club with the history and name of AC Milan were interested in me. Obviously I was very happy when they talked to me about coming here," he pointed out. 

Furthermore, he described how he is as a player: "I'm a young and versatile footballer who can carry out all roles in defence. I think pace and coverage are among my qualities. I think I'm a complete player."
