OFFICIAL: Nelson extends Arsenal contract until 2027

Arsenal have managed to renew Reiss Nelson until 2027 despite uncertainties over his future. The striker could have left in the summer as a free agent but has decided to continue playing under Mikel Arteta. His new deal is "subject to the completion of regulatory processes".
"Reiss is still only 23 years old but has already made a significant contribution to Arsenal for many years. He has gained good experience on loan, has come back and showed just how valuable he is to us," Arsenal sporting director Edu claimed.
The Englishman has rejected several offers from clubs in Italy, Spain and France to extend his contract with the club that has seen him grow up. The striker joined Arsenal's academy at the age of eight and will continue improving as a Gunner.
The 23-year-old played a key role last season, scoring three goals in 18 competitive matches. As a result, both the Spanish coach and the board have been keen to keep him on board.
"Reiss is a player I have admired since the first day I was here. He has tremendous ability and is such an exciting offensive talent," Arteta said.
