OFFICIAL: Man Utd land Bryan Mbeumo in €75m deal

Manchester United confirmed on Monday the signing of Cameroon striker Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford until 2030. The 25-year-old emerged as one of the top scorers in the Premier League last season, scoring 20 goals in the competition.
The French-born player came through the ranks at Troyes, from where he made the move in 2019 to Brentford, who were still in the Championship at the time. "As soon as I heard I had the opportunity to sign for Manchester United, I had to take it, it's my dream club; the team whose shirt I had as a kid," the player told the club's official media.
Mbeumo's arrival joins Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha, signed from Wolves, as the Old Trafford outfit look to improve on last year's 44 Premier League goals scored - fourth lowest - as well as the 15th place finish to the season.
"My mentality is to always be better than yesterday. I know I have the spirit and character to reach another level here, learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players," said Mbeumo. Although the official figures of the deal have not been disclosed, it is slightly in excess of 80 million euros - 75 million euros fixed plus variables - according to British media reports.
