OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign right-back Calvin Ramsay

Liverpool have now announced their third signing. After Darwin Nunez from Benfica and Fabio Carvalho from Fulham, the English side have bought Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen. He has come through the club's academy.
The young 18 year-old defender has signed a long term contract, reportedly until 30th June 2027. He is a player for the future and Liverpool have not hesitated in signing the Scottish youngster.
In the last three seasons, Ramsay has had game time at Aberdeen, who he has made 39 competitive appearances for. He has scored on one occasion and given four assists.

Without any shadow of a doubt, his best campaign was the most recent one when he played a total of 2295 minutes in 33 matches, 27 of them as a starter. In addition, he has played in six Conference League qualifying matches and started all of them.
Ramsay's move to Liverpool has become the most expensive sale in the history of the Scottish club, beating the three million pounds Nottingham Forest paid Aberdeen in 2020 for Scott McKenna.

The English club have reportedly paid Aberdeen 4.2 million pounds plus around 2.5 million in variables for the youngster who has played for Scotland at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 21 level.
