OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool made the transfer of Fabio Carvalho official this Sunday. In better words, they made it official again, since the 'reds' announced that he would arrive from the 1st July a few weeks ago. Three days later, there is now confirmation of the confirmation.
The Portuguese joins Anfield from Fulham, a team who he was promoted to the Premier League with and also won the Championship with. His contribution was key, with 11 goals and seven assists in the 38 games.
Carvalho usually plays behind the striker, although he also plays on the right flank fairly regularly. Curiously, he prefers to drift to the left hand side of the pitch when he starts in the middle. This versatility fits Jürgen Klopp's offensive scheme perfectly.
The Portuguese emerged from the Fulham youth academy, and has only played for the London club. He made his debut with the first team in the 2020-21 season, when he played just 275 minutes in six games. His break out season was last year's campaign, with 3,012 minutes, 35 starts in 38 appearances and a total of 12 goals and 7 assists.
Carvalho also has experience playing international football, although not at senior level. He played for England at U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, but he said "yes" to Portugal last year and made his debut with the U21 team. With Portugal, he has scored two goals in three games.
