OFFICIAL: Klopp signs new Liverpool contract until 2026

Rumours had been circulating in England in recent hours that Liverpool were working on the continuity of Jurgen Klopp, whose contract with the Reds expired on 30th June 2024.
And on Thursday the German manager's renewal was finally confirmed. Just a day after the British team beat Villarreal in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals (2-0).
Klopp himself announced his contract extension, which runs until 2026: “There are so many words I could use to describe how I am feeling about this news… delighted, humbled, blessed, privileged and excited would be a start. This is my place.
Assistants Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz have also put pen to paper on new terms, mirroring those of Klopp’s and reaffirming their dedication to the project, which began with the German’s appointment in October 2015.
Klopp now has several challenges ahead of him: to try to beat Manchester City in the Premier League - they are separated by just one point - and to win the Champions League. For now, Liverpool took a giant step forward against Villarreal and have a foot and a half in the final.
