OFFICIAL: Kokorin signs for Fiorentina

Fiorentina have got hold of Aleksander Kokorin, a 28 year-old striker from Spartak Moscow. An important step in the Russian's career, who is trying to rebuild his reputation after his time in prison years ago.
Both he and his compatriot Pavel Mamaev were sent to jail for a year and a half in prison for two fights which occurred in October 2018. Both were put on conditional bail in September 2019 and now looking to get their careers back on track.
Until then, Kokorin had been one of the main man in the Russian national team since he was very young. He played 48 games for the senior team (scored 12 goals) while he was competing for Dynamo Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg. The criminal issues came about when he was at Zenit.
During the 2019-20 season, Kokorin played 10 games and scored seven goals for Sochi and he signed last summer for Spartak Moscow. Now he has got the opportunity in Serie A with Fiorentina.
His signing has been completed for around five million euros and Kokorin's contract will run until June 2023.
