Icardi signs for PSG until 2024

Icardi is no longer an Inter Milan player. His present and future will be at PSG, the club who he was on loan at until now.

PSG confirmed that Icardi has signed a new deal with the French side. Now he plays for them on a permanent basis.

"Mauro Icardi signs Paris Saint-Germain contract until 30 June 2024. Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce the signing of Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal, following the striker’s loan from Inter Milan during the 2019-2020 season", the club wrote on their website.

PSG did a quick recap of his career: "The Rosario-born player is the 16th Argentinian player in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, and has made 31 appearances for the Rouge et Bleu in the 2019-2020 season, picking up a Ligue 1 winner’s medal, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists".

PSG didn't specify how much they finally paid Inter for his services. The option to buy was initially set at 70 million euros, but according to the latest reports, Inter have reportedly achieved a price reduction. The Italian press assure that the deal has reportedly been done for around 50 million euros.

Inter wanted to say goodbye to Icardi with a brief statement: "FC Internazionale Milano announces the transfer of Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain FC: the striker, born in 1993, has permanently moved to the French club. The Club thanks the player for the six seasons he spent with us and wishes him the best for his future professional career".
