OFFICIAL: Griezmann extends Atletico contract until 2027

Griezmann will continue as an Atletico Madrid player next season and beyond. On Monday, the club confirmed the renewal of the French striker's contract until 30 June 2027.
The Frenchman's previous deal was set to expire in 2026. Although there had been speculation about a potential move to Major League Soccer in the United States this summer, he will now stay with the club for a further two years.
"Antoine Griezmann and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement to renew the French player's contract until 30 June 2027. He is the club's all-time leading goalscorer, surpassing the 173 goals scored by Luis Aragones.
"He is also the eighth player with the most official appearances in the club's history and the third-highest among foreign players, behind only his teammates Oblak and Correa," read Atletico's official statement.
The French attacker's numbers have dipped over the past two years, particularly during the latter stages of the season. Nonetheless, the club remain confident that the veteran forward can continue to deliver and provide leadership in what is set to be a pivotal year.
