OFFICIAL: Davies renews Bayern contract until 2030, rebuffing Real Madrid

Bayern Munich have started work on the 2025-26 season. The transfer window has closed with the last-minute departure of Mathys Tel and now it's time to shape the squad for next season. The first objective is to renew those players whose contracts expire on 30 June.

One of them is Alphonso Davies. A thousand and one times wanted by Real Madrid, the left-back has already sealed his renewal with the Bavarian side after months of negotiations.

David Ornstein was the first to give an approximate date - just this week - and the length of the contract, which will run until 30 June 2030, five years longer than his current contract.

Davies joined Bayern Munich in January 2019 from the Vancouver Whitecaps. Since then, he has won five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2020.

Several clubs have approached the Canadian full-back, notably Real Madrid, but in the end the left-back will continue to move up the wing with Bayern Munich.
