OFFICIAL: David Lomban joins Malaga

The Spanish defender joins the 'Blue and Whites' on a free transfer after leaving Eibar, where he spent just one season.

A journeyman in the Spanish game, the 31 year-old has previously played for Valencia, Barcelona B, Elche and Granada.

With such experience, mainly in the Primera Division, it is hoped that Lomban will bring stability and resilence to the defensive unit of the Andalusian side.

Relegated to the second tier of Spanish football at the end of the last campaign, they currently sit top of the table after five wins from their first five league games, including a 3-0 home win over Cordoba on Saturday.
