OFFICIAL: Chelsea loan wonderkid Andrey Santos to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest announced on Friday the signing of midfielder Andrey Santos. The 19-year-old has joined Trentside on a one-year loan, leaving Chelsea for the 2023-24 campaign.

The midfielder signed for the Blues in the January window from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama, but remained there for the end of the 2022-23 season, and joined the Mauricio Pochettino's squad during the pre-season.

Making four appearances over the summer, Andrey Santos now becomes Forest's fifth signing of the summer window and expressed his delight at the move in a club statement.

"I am very happy and excited to be here", he said. "I know that Forest is a big club, they play good football and they have good players, which is important for me. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League and I can't wait to enjoy playing.”

Ross Wilson, Forest’s Chief Football Officer, declared: “Everyone knows how talented Andrey is, so naturally we are pleased that amongst the considerable interest in him, he and Chelsea have chosen Nottingham Forest. We are all delighted to have him.”
