The Olympic champion will sign his new contract once he passes the relevant medical examination," read the statement from the red and white team, who have not given details of the operation or the duration of the link.
The newspaper 'AS' has shed some light and has reported that the player will sign for the next five seasons. In addition, the cost of the signing is 12 million euros plus variables that could reach 7 million. In this way, the 'Colchoneros' reinforce the defence with a player who had been on the radar of teams like Barca.
