'Nobody disrespected us' - Artist with dwarfism defends Yamal

Lamine Yamal continues to capture the world's attention. The Barca gem celebrated his 18th birthday last Saturday in style, with the presence of celebrities, football personalities and artists with dwarfism, among other guests... The latter is what has generated the most criticism.
For this reason, one of the workers spoke to 'RAC1' on Monday to defend his work. "Nobody disrespected us, let us work in peace. I don't understand why there is so much talk about it. We are normal people who do what we want to do in an absolutely legal way", he said.
The Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias (ADEE) denounced Lamine for hiring people with dwarfism for his and his friends' entertainment. The government, which had taken note of this, has asked the Public Prosecutor's Office to investigate whether the Disability Act was violated at the event.
"For a couple of years now, these people have been harming us. They want to ban a job that we like and in no case have they offered work or courses to the people concerned. We work as entertainers, why can't we do it, because of our physical condition," said the artist in relation to the response from the ADEE Association.
"There is a new president who feels self-conscious and wants to screw the rest of us. We know what our limit is and we will never go beyond it: we are not fairground monkeys", he stressed.
Finally, the artist with dwarfism, who did not reveal anything about what happened at the party as he had signed a confidentiality contract, explained his work and said that afterwards they joined the party. "We danced, we gave out shots, we did magic... there are many types of shows. We were just one of them, everyone had a great time. There was all this fuss just because it was Lamine Yamal's party", he concluded.
