Nketiah renews with Arsenal and inherits Henry's '14' shirt

Arsenal on Saturday announced the renewal of striker Eddie Nketiah, who was also given the legendary number '14' of Frenchman Thierry Henry to leave behind the '30' he has worn until now.
The 22-year-old was due to finish his contract at the end of this month, but both he and the club had declared their intention for a renewal to take place. According to various English media, his salary will be around £100,000 a week.

Nketiah, who has signed a new contract until 30th June 2025, has scored 23 goals in the 92 games he has played for Arsenal since making his debut in 2017.
"I am delighted that Eddie is staying. He represents who we are and the values of the club. We are very happy that he has renewed his contract. Now it's time to get back to work and develop the great footballer and the great person we have in him," Mikel Arteta said in a statement.
