Nico Paz to stay at Como until 2026 as Real Madrid delay buy-back

Como will retain their star player from last season. The Italian side had been awaiting Real Madrid's decision on whether to exercise their buy-back clause on Nico Paz, but he will stay for at least one more year.
Sky Sport reports that the Italian club will be able to count on the attacking midfielder, one of the standout surprises of the recent Serie A campaign, who had been the subject of speculation regarding a possible return to the Spanish giants, who hold multiple buy-back options. This summer's option was set at €8 million.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, Nico Paz will remain with Cesc Fabregas' side until at least June 2026. This development also means that Real Madrid's buy-back fee will rise to €9 million.
In his debut professional season, the 20-year-old has contributed six goals and eight assists across 35 Serie A appearances. In fact, he ranked fourth in the entire league for most key passes.
