Newcastle rejects initial £110m bid for Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak remains one of the most sought-after names in the transfer market in England. The Swedish forward is a target for Liverpool, who aim to use some of the funds from the sale of Luis Díaz to Bayern Munich to secure his signing.
Several English outlets, including the 'Daily Mail', reported on Friday that an initial £110 million bid had been rejected by Newcastle.
The same sources insist that Newcastle are holding out for £150 million for the Swedish international, a fee that would represent one of the largest transfers in football history.
The Swedish international is reportedly pushing for a move and is currently training at Real Sociedad, his former club. He missed Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia, citing an ongoing injury.
Should Isak eventually move to Liverpool, Newcastle's preferred replacement is Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
Last season, the Swedish 25-year-old striker was one of the standout performers in English football, not only for his goals - he scored 27 - but also for the significant improvement in his overall game.
