Newcastle join United in race for Fresneda

Manchester United are interested in Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda. It is a request from Ten Hag, who was surprised to see the Spanish player's performances. However, according to 'Football Insider', Newcastle are also keeping an eye on him.
The Spanish defender is standing out this season at Real Valladolid and, for that reason, the two English clubs are targeting him.
"We don't know if Fresneda will be able to stay with us. There are many factors. He is 18 years old and plays like a 30-year-old. Interested clubs don't want to sign Fresneda but what he will be in four years' time," his current coach Pacheta said.
Nowadays, the Red Devils are in third place on 46 points while Newcastle are in fourth place on 41 points. We will have to wait until the summer to see what Fresneda's new club will be.
