Napoli drop from race for Liverpool's Darwin Nunez

All signs point to Darwin Nunez packing his bags and leaving Anfield this summer. The Uruguayan striker is not happy with the role he has had at Liverpoole this season and is looking for another destination where he can get more playing time.

Napoli were tipped to be one of the most likely destinations for the former Benfica striker, but the Italians have decided to drop out of the race for his transfer due to the high fee the Reds are asking for him.

However, Fabrizio Romano reports that Nunez is still expected to leave the reigning Premier League champions this summer, with links to Saudi and European clubs still open.

Nunez has made 47 competitive appearances for the Reds this season, but only 17 of those have been starts, in which he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
