Murillo and his third farewell to Celta

Colombian centre-back Jeison Murillo, whose contract with Celta Vigo expires on 30th June, confirmed on social media that he will not continue at the Galician club next season.
"The end of the season. I want to thank God for everything, Celta for the opportunity, my teammates, the coaching staff, the club's workers and the fans for their unconditional support and for always fighting together. It was a pleasure to defend this crest," he wrote in his farewell letter.
Murillo arrived on loan from Sampdoria in the 2020 winter transfer window, backed by the then Celta coach Oscar Garcia Junyent. That season, he made 18 appearances in the second half of the season, and the Vigo club requested a new loan at the start of the 2020-21 season, which he completed with 32 appearances, all of them as a starter.
As a result, Celta asked Sampdoria for a third loan, although in this season he was relegated to the bench, due to the great form of Joseph Aidoo.
