Morocco want players to "keep head up"

"Keep your heads up!" is the headline of the Moroccan press this Thurdsay, recoginising the historical performance of the national team. For the first time in African football history, they got to the semi-finals of a World Cup, despite eventually losing to France.
"The national side played in the Qatar World Cup with pride, despite losing to France 2-0 in the semi-finals", the Arab newspaper 'Assabah' wrote, who also said that the Moroccan players left the stadium being applauded by the fans.
The French economic paper 'L'Economiste' - who, along with other newspapers, changed its front cover to red and green (the colours of the Morocco flag and colours of the national team) - highlighted that, even though they lost in the semi-finals, the team managed to "break the glass ceiling, and showed its youth, Africa and all developing countries that anything is possible".
"Les Bleus' experience was too much for the Atlas Lions, 'Le Matin' wrote, who also emphasised it was Morocco's first loss in the tournament.
