Monaco reaches verbal agreement with Euro top scorer Georges Mikautadze

Clubs are already outlining their squads for next season and the European Championships and World Cups are always good scenarios in which to find potential signings. Monaco have been attentive and have been interested in the current top scorer of the European tournament.

Georgia's Georges Mikautadze is one of the big names at Euro 2024 in Germany. The Metz striker has scored in each of the three group matches and with three goals is the top scorer of the competition.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ligue 1 side have reached an agreement with the striker. Moreover, they have already made an offer to Metz for the player in an attempt to anticipate other teams. The idea of the French side is to close the transfer before the end of the European Championship. 

On the other hand, Mikautadze started the season playing for Ajax. Then, the Dutch club loaned him to Metz, who finally signed him for 13 million euros.
