Monaco maintain interest in Ter Stegen despite goalkeeper’s desire to stay at Barca

AS Monaco continue to show interest in signing Marc-Andre ter Stegen, despite the German goalkeeper's initial refusal to leave Barcelona.
The Principality club had already contacted the goalkeeper's entourage a few weeks ago to explore a possible move, but the response was clear: his desire is to continue at the Catalan giants.
With the arrival of Joan Garcia and the assured continuity of Szczesny, Barça have opened the door to a possible departure of Ter Stegen this summer. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has already held talks with the goalkeeper, who remains adamant that he will remain in goal.
During the negotiations between the two clubs for Ansu Fati, various loan or transfer options were discussed to facilitate the deal. There are no major obstacles between the clubs to reach an agreement, as even the possibility of sharing the player's salary is being contemplated.
Monaco are looking for stability in goal after a season marked by irregularity and consider Ter Stegen a reliable and guaranteed option. Despite having considered alternatives such as Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Ugurcan Çakir, the German goalkeeper remains the preferred choice for the Monaco management.
