The Serbian striker was rushed to Al-Habib Hospital in Riyadh after the scare. Reports from Saudi Arabia informed that he suffered from a rapid heart beat (tachycardia) caused by physical stress.
Mitrovic had only recently returned to action for Al Hilal after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for two months. He scored on his return for the Middle Eastern giants in Friday's 2-0 win at Al Fayha.
According to the same report, the former Fulham player has been recommended a complete rest by the medics. As a result, Mitrovic is expected to miss the upcoming match for Al Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League club will face Uzbek side Pakhtakor on Tuesday evening at the Kingdom Arena for the second leg of the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League.
