Mesut Ozil could retire at 34

Istanbul Basaksehir striker Mesut Ozil did not train with his teammates on Friday and there are already rumours of a possible retirement.

According to journalist Yakup Cinar, the player has already terminated his contract with the Turkish club. Moreover, the German footballer already talked to his teammates about retiring.

Ozil played for Real Madrid and Arsenal as well as winning the World Cup with Germany in 2014. Now, the 34-year-old would say goodbye to the world of football.

The former Madrid footballer has been in Turkey since the 2020/21 season when he signed for Fenerbahçe after six seasons at Arsenal.
