Messi returns to Argentina training

The problem forced Messi to miss Argentina's friendly victory over Italy on Thursday, with many fearing thay he would be sent home from the squad completely in order to fully recover.

However, Messi was present in training on Sunday morning at Real Madrid's training base along with the rest of his team-mates ahead of the clash with Spain on Tuesday night.

Though it remains uncertain whether Messi will feature against 'La Roja', his return to training has certainly calmed the fears over the severity of his problem.

Whilst the game promises to be an intriguing game between two of the pre-World Cup favourites, it would be understandable if Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli were to err on the side of caution.
