Messi gets PSG out of jail with 95th minute free-kick winner

PSG looked like they had quickly shaken off their Champions League defeat with two goals in just 17 minutes against Lille. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring with a great goal and then Neymar joined the party.
However, Lille reduced the deficit before half-time and that brought them back into the game. Early in the second half, Neymar went off with an ankle injury and after 69 minutes, PSG were losing 2-3. The Parc des Princes crowd were far from happy after recent results.
Then, Mbappe levelled in the 88th minute and there was late drama in added time. Messi had been quiet for most of the game, but PSG won a free-kick on the edge of the box and Messi scored with his left foot to give PSG a 4-3 win.
The former Barcelona man hit the ball hard to the goalkeeper's post and it went in off the woodwork. His teammates and the fans jumped for joy and all the players came together to congratulate Messi. Then, coach Galtier came to kiss Messi and say something in his ear.
That was the coach's way of thanking Messi for getting him out of trouble as there had been talk of Galtier being sacked in recent days.
