Mertesacker: 'Arsenal can learn from Cech'

Mertesacker, speaking to the 'BBC', pointed out that, unlike much of the current Arsenal squad, Petr Cech has won the Premier League four times - though with Chelsea - which can provide valuable knowledge to the 'Gunners'.
Cech, 36, recently questioned the mentality of his side, claiming they were too focused on their style of play.
Mertesacker displayed some reasoning behind the goalkeeper's comments, saying: "Cech's background at Chelsea, that is the way he won. You can feel when we went there it was always tough and we struggled to deal with the intensity and that defensive ruthlessness.
"We can take that on. We have to learn and adapt to what Chelsea have brought."
Arsenal are evidently taking Cech's words on board, as they have now won nine games in a row across all competitions.
