Mertens rejects Juventus offer

Dries Mertens is still without a team. His departure from Napoli was confirmed in the last week of July in a statement on Napoli's social media. However, there is no shortage of teams interested in signing him. 

According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Juventus have made an offer in recent days to the attacker worth five million euros per season. However, the 35-year-old Belgian has rejected the 'Vecchia Signora's proposal.

The Napoli legend would seem to be interested in a team that would ensure him the necessary playing time to arrive in good condition to be a starter at the World Cup in Qatar, which, apparently, will be the last of his career.

If Mertens' destination lies outside the Italian League, there are already several teams who have made it known over the summer that they are interested in the Belgian international's option, such as Gattuso's Valencia and Belgian side Antwerp.
