Mendy close to agreeing new deal with Real Madrid

Ferland Mendy's future is Real Madrid's next task ahead. The French full-back's contract expires on 30th June 2025 and the club hope to reach an agreement with the player in the coming days. He is on the verge of renewal.

‘Marca’ published on Tuesday that the extension of the No 23 has become Carlo Ancelotti's priority once he already has Kylian Mbappe in the squad. In the Italian coach's perception, "the best defensive full-back in the world".

Real Madrid's board have informed Ferland Mendy's entourage of their intention to extend his contract beyond 2025. A step forward welcomed by all parties despite the call of the Saudi League with a greater economic attempt.

The 'Merengues' are hoping that his renewal will be made official once he finishes his holidays after Euro 2024. The player is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu outfit and is a respected figure in the increasingly French dressing room.
