Mbappe leads France squad list for Euro

The 2018 World Cup winners are in Group D where they will start their campaign against Austria on June 17, before taking on the Netherlands four days later and then ending their group-stage ties against Poland on June 25.

After leading France to World Cup glory in Russia in 2018, the European Championship still eludes Deschamps' grasp as a coach.

After losing the final on home soil in 2016 and a surprise last-16 exit four years later to Switzerland, the Euro 2000 winning captain will be hoping it is third time lucky as he looks to complete a remarkable quartet of World Cup and Euro titles as a coach and player.

The French coach announced his 25-man squad list for the European Championship in Germany later this year. Kylian Mbappe, who is in the spotlight because of doubts about his future, is among the players in the squad.

Goalkeepers: Areola, Maignan and Samba

Defenders: Kounde, Clauss, Pavard, Konate, Saliba, Upamecano, Hernandez and Mendy

Midfielders: Camavinga, Fofana, Rabiot, Zaire-Emery, Tchouameni, Griezmann and Kante

Forwards: Barcola, Dembele, Coman, Giroud, Kolo Muani, Mbappe and Thuram
