Mbappe and Mendy step up recovery, eye Barcelona final

Kylian Mbappe and Ferland Mendy both took part in the training session with their teammates for the first time since recovering from their respective injuries, and both are now in contention for Real Madrid's squad to face Getafe on Wednesday.
Mbappe has overcome the right ankle sprain he sustained against Arsenal and could make his return against Getafe, with the aim of regaining match fitness ahead of the Copa del Rey final on Saturday against Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Mendy has fully recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained on March 12 and trained without issue, keeping pace with his teammates.
Ahead of the La Liga match against Getafe, the only two absentees from Carlo Ancelotti's squad were long-term knee injury victims Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao.
Ancelotti called up youth players Fran Gonzalez and Ilia Voloshyn (goalkeepers), Jesus Fortea (right-back), and Daniel Yanez (forward) to complete the session.
