Matip's brother and pregnant wife victims of the final riot

The start of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid was delayed by 36 minutes. Riots outside Saint-Denis left thousands of fans unable to get in on time, so UEFA postponed the kick-off.
Two of those affected were Joel Matip's brother Marvin and his pregnant wife. Both had to flee from the vicinity of the stadium after police charges and tear gas were fired and took refuge in a restaurant.
Poor organisation led to delays in getting into Saint-Denis, a situation that caused chaos. The desperation of the fans combined with the attempt of some individuals to sneak in without tickets to cause a chaos that ended with the intervention of the police officers.
"The organisation around and in the stadium is not worthy of a Champions League final! Using tear gas in areas with children and uninvolved fans is dangerous," Marvin himself told journalist Florian Plettenberg of 'Sky Sport'.
