Marseille receive offer from Sharjah for Benedetto

Marseille striker Dario Benedetto is willing to leave Ligue 1 to play in the UAE, according to 'TyC Sports' journalist Cesar Luis Merlo. The team in question are Sharjah and the board are currently studying the offer.
The 31 year-old striker, formerly of Boca Juniors, is not in Jorge Sampaoli's plans for next season. There was talk of him moving to Elche in Spain, but now Sharjah are in pole position to get the footballer.
Argentinian media outlet 'TNT Sports' says the French club are thinking of buying Argentinian striker Cristian Pavon of Boca Juniors to replace Benedetto for the 2021-22 season. That would see Marseille get a replacement for Benedetto.
After two full seasons, Benedetto has made 73 appearances for Marseille and scored 17 goals. In the 2018 Copa Libertadores final at the Bernabeu between River Plate and Boca Juniors, the player scored a goal for his team, but it was not even for him to win the title.
