Maresca hopeful on Caicedo fitness ahead of Club World Cup final against PSG

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca was optimistic about Moises Caicedo's recovery for the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Ecuador midfielder suffered a sprained ankle in the semi-final against Palmeiras and had to leave the field in the final minutes.
"Moises is such an important player for us. This morning he trained, but he couldn’t take part in the session fully. We hope he can play on Sunday," Maresca explained.
The Italian coach underlined the importance of having Caicedo, a key player in the Blues' formation, at his disposal. Chelsea are preparing to take on PSG, who are in fine form after winning their first Champions League title and advancing to the final.
Despite the Parisians' favouritism, Maresca rejected the idea that his side should be resigned to suffering: "Who said that? We'll see in two days. For sure they are a top team, the best team in the world."
The coach acknowledged his respect for the team led by Luis Enrique, whom he considers a benchmark for football lovers.
"I agree with most of the people who say PSG are the best in Europe and the world. They are showing this. We have maximum respect for them. I really enjoy watching them but we are here to do our best and win the final."
