Man Utd suffer double injury blow ahead of Real Sociedad clash

Manchester United's Europa League ambitions have been complicated by the absence of key players Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte, who are set to miss the crucial first leg against Real Sociedad on Thursday.

Both players picked up injuries during Sunday's FA Cup fifth-round loss to Fulham, with Maguire being substituted at the start of extra time and Ugarte exiting the game in the 53rd minute.

Maguire was replaced by Ayden Heaven, while Ugarte made way for Alejandro Garnacho, highlighting the depth of United's injury concerns.

The duo joins a lengthy list of absentees, including Lisandro Martínez, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, Altay Bayındır, and Kobbie Mainoo.

However, central midfielder Toby Collyer has returned to fitness and is available for selection, providing a welcome boost to Ruben Amorim's squad.

As United face Real Sociedad, they will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten record in the Europa League this season, having finished the group stage without a loss.
