Rasmus Hojlund was tipped to become Manchester United's attacking leader when the Danish striker joined the Red Devils last summer from Atalanta for £72m on a five-year deal.
However, the 21-year-old striker has not been as clinical in front of goal as he was during his time with the Italian club and has been criticised by some Mancunian fans.
Dutch manager Erik ten Hag praised his striker ahead of the Premier League game against West Ham, highlighting his "resilience" and how "angry" he gets when he fails to score goals.
"You can see how Hojlund is improving. We trust him. He gets angry, mad when he's not scoring but also that's why we selected him," he said. " He has the resilience and the calmness, and to perform under that stress. He hasn’t had any moment when he wanted to give up".
The former Atalanta man has made 27 official appearances for the Old Trafford outfit so far this season, 22 of them as a starter, in which he has scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists.
