Man United's Mount set to return to training after three months

Mason Mount is set to return to team trainining at Manchester United for the first time in three months. The Englishman was hit with a hamstring injury in the Manchester derby, won by the Red Devils by 2-1, in December, with Ruben Amorim later revealing that he would be out for "several weeks".
The former Chelsea midfielder has been a peripheral figure since arriving at Old Trafford in July last year, struggling with a loss of form and persistent injury issues. He has just 32 appearances for Man United so far, scoring a solitary goal, and has started just nine Premier League games in total.
As a result, Man United will look to carefully reintergrate Mount back into the squad to ensure any setbacks are avoided. According to 'The Athletic', the 26-year-old will not be ready to feature on Thursday for the Europa League last-16 second-leg clash against Real Sociedad on Thursday.
Despite the injury woes, Amorim has reiterated several times that he would try to help Mount, whom he sees great potential in. "What I can do is to help Mase, to teach him how to play our game when he's recovering. Try to use that time for him to think in different things," he had said after the latest bow.
