Malaga trust in Lombán's leadership

David Lombán will continue to captain Malaga for at least one more season. The ex-Barcelona and Granada defender, amongst others, has earned his continuity.

Good news for Malaga, who are experiencing some very positive days after sealing their safety in Segunda División after a very turbulent season.

In this way, Lombán will remain part of the squad for the third season in a row. His performance, from less to more until he consolidated himself in the back three implanted by Sergio Pellicer.

"The footballer demonstrated his commitment as a malaguista by extending his contract with the club until the end of the current season by giving up his salary. His perseverance has made him start in all the matches after the break caused by the COVID-19 health crisis", the club published through an official statement.
