Malacia to return to action before January

Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia has yet to play for Manchester United this season due to a knee injury. The former Feyenoord defender has only played 39 competitive matches for the Red Devils since joining last summer.

The 24-year-old had to battle last campaign with Luke Shaw for a place in the defence but was left as a second-choice left-back due to injuries.

Malacia had to undergo surgery last season even though he tried his best to avoid surgery and to continue performing for manager Erik ten Hag. The Old Trafford outfit signed Sergio Reguilon to fill in at left back but he has also picked up an injury.

However, the Dutch defender is already recovering and making good progress. The Netherlands international is expected to return to action before January to help his team.
