Maguire: "I've always believed in myself"

Harry Maguire has no doubts about his level. The England centre-back denied that his substitute status at Manchester United has affected his confidence and said he has continued to train at his best to be ready when needed.
"I've always believed in myself, I've given everything in training to be at the best level. I always want to play, I'm going to fight for it, it's not where I want to be, but I feel good, I'm fresh. I've been with Cristiano for a couple of years and he's been criticised a lot. If they criticise him, who for me is the best, how can they not criticise the rest".
Maguire was substituted in the second half of England's 6-2 win over Iran, but said he is ready to play against the United States.
"I felt bad in the second half, but after the tests, I've trained twice and I'm feeling good," said the United player.
