Madrid to face Alcoyano for third time in Copa del Rey

The Copa del Rey is starting for Real Madrid, who will face Alcoyano in the one-legged last 32 match at El Collao (Wednesday at 21:00). This will be the third time that both teams have played against each other in the history of the Copa del Rey.
The first time was in the quarter-finals of the 1945/46 edition. Real Madrid visited Alcoy in the first leg and drew 2-2. Belmar and Barinaga scored the goals.
In the second leg, Madrid won 2-0 at the Bernabéu thanks to goals from Pruden and Barinaga. Real Madrid made it through to the semi-finals and ended up winning the 8th Cup in their history.
In 2012-13, the two teams again met in a two-legged match, corresponding to the last 32 of the Copa del Rey.
Real Madrid won 1-4 in the first leg, in a match where Benzema scored a brace and Kaká and José Rodríguez also scored. In the second leg, they won 3-0 with goals from Callejón (2) and Di María.
