Madrid star Rodrygo defends Neymar over criticism in recent days

Al-Hilal striker Neymar has been criticised in recent days for getting angry with fans after they threw a packet of popcorn at him in the 1-1 draw against Venezuela.
Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes defended his compatriot at a Brazilian national team press conference and praised the 31-year-old for his involvement in the national team.
"Despite his age, he brings a lot to the squad both on and off the pitch. He still has the same quality as ever and is our main player. Despite the criticism he receives, he is totally different to what some people think of him," Rodrygo told reporters.
"He has helped me a lot. Sometimes I'm at my club and he sends me messages from Arabia. That's a big help. On the pitch, there is no doubt that, if we lose or draw, the biggest responsibility is on him. But when we win, it's clear that he's our best player," he concluded.
