Loftus-Cheek completed his hat-trick with an accurate side-footed finish

Handed a rare start in the middle of the park, the powerful midfielder got his side off to the perfect start as he scored twice in the first eight minuts of the game.

The first of those strikes was his first Chelsea goal since April 2016, but it would prove to be a fruitful evening for the England international on the goals front.

Having already scored twice and with his team in complete cruise control the former Crystal Palace loanee could have been forgiven for allowing his performance levels to drop somewhat. 

However, he was in no mood to do so, showing his alertness in the second period as he completed his hat-trick with a tidy finish.

Pedro saw an attempt to drive into the box snuffed out by the away side, only for the ball to roll into the path of the unmarked Loftus-Cheek.

High on confidence he didn't need a second invitation, curling home into the far corner with the inside of his right foot first time to complete his treble.
