Liverpool working on Matip's departure

Liverpool will face a bittersweet end to the season after a run of poor results. Klopp's side could still come back in the Premier League if they get positive results.

However, the English side are already working on reinforcing the squad for next season. They want to make several changes to the squad for the 2023/24 season.

Joel Matip could be one of the players to leave Liverpool in mid-2023. The board will try to make the most of the signing of the defender, who has a contract with the club until 2024. According to 'Football Insider', Klopp's team will ask for 18 million euros for him. 

They have already started planning for next season. Several players will have to leave the squad in order to bring in new signings and achieve more.
